Big Drum Case is a Low swivelling coffee table with storage, while stacking Drum Case work as a stackable side table with storage.
Inspired by the hull construction of wooden boats, the flexible plywood layers are wrapped around a rigid crisscrossed frame structure. The interiors are painted to highlight the internal structure.
Drum Cases are prototypes we showcased at SaloneSatellite in 2011. Never put into production. However, it exemplifies the earlier development of our design sensibility.
