The Space

An assembly of sculptural forms defines the spatial concept for The Space 공간, a Korean hair salon located within 100AM Mall, Singapore.

To establish a clear and confident brand narrative, the salon frontage sets the tone for the overall spatial experience. Two freestanding, softly sculpted forms partially veil the interior, drawing attention to the spaces between and within them. Inside, the atmosphere is shaped by an interplay of form, light, colour, and material, emphasising the relationships and moments created between each element.

At the heart of the salon, a freestanding volume with an integrated ceiling canopy encloses the shampoo area behind the reception wall. Carefully positioned openings allow ambient light to filter through, creating a more intimate and restful setting for customers. Finished in a soft peach-toned textured paint, the sculptural elements establish a warm, cohesive palette that reinforces both the spatial concept and the salon’s distinctive brand identity.
